Shoveling Snow onto City Streets Can Lead to Fines
The City of Toronto's By Laws state that a home owner or resident could be slapped with a $360.00 fine is they are caught shoveling snow off of their driveway or walkway onto plowed streets.
The street which has already been cleared of snow will look as though it needs to be replowed - this equals more cost!
Putting the snow back out onto the streets could be dangerous for vehicles trying to manuever around snow banks and parked cars - as well as for pedestrians attempting to cross the street.
Avoid the $360.00 fine and shovel your sidewalk and driveway snow onto your own property.
